PATHWAY OPTIONS
There are a number of choices. Please ensure you select the correct pathway for your sample. Please give as much clinical detail as possible for all samples.
- Pathway 4A: B-ALL (BCR/ABL1 positive) follow up
- Pathway 4B: B-ALL (BCR/ABL1 negative) follow up
- Pathway 4C: T-ALL follow up
Pathway 4A: B-ALL (BCR/ABL1 positive) follow up
These cases will receive MRD monitoring for BCR::ABL1 expression. Please see “ALL MRD Page” for advice and state on the request which additional MRD tests are needed. These will also be stated on the first (diagnostic) integrated report.
The following tests will be performed:
- Morphology marrow
- Markers: B-ALL follow up
- Trephine biopsy [immune-stain if indicated] (optional)
- Cytogenetics/FISH Ph+ ALL
- Molecular: BCR/ABL1 monitoring
- OPTION: Molecular agreed send-away MRD monitoring
Pathway 4B: B-ALL (BCR/ABL1 negative) follow up
Use for follow up of all BCR/ABL1 negative B-ALL cases. Please see “ALL MRD Page” for advice and state on the request which additional MRD tests are needed. These will also be stated on the first (diagnostic) integrated report.
The following tests will be performed:
- Morphology marrow: URGENT
- Markers: B-ALL follow up
- Trephine biopsy [immune-stain if indicated] (optional)
- Cytogenetics/FISH Ph- ALL
- OPTION: Molecular agreed send-away MRD monitoring
Pathway 4C: T-ALL follow up
Select this for all T-ALL cases. Cases will receive MRD monitoring if cases have a lesion previously selected for TCR or other MRD monitoring (i.e. detected at diagnosis and monitoring is agreed). For these cases please send a molecular sample. Please see “ALL MRD Page” for advice.
The following tests will be performed:
- Morphology marrow: URGENT
- Markers: T-ALL follow up
- Trephine biopsy [immune-stain if indicated] (optional)
- Cytogenetics/FISH T- ALL
- OPTION: Molecular agreed send-away MRD monitoring
